Relax, Play or Entertain on the banks of the Murray
There is a plethora of parkland within the Swan Hill Region, ranging from the smaller areas within Swan Hill, to the large Riverside Park and Barry Steggall Reserve at Tower Hill. Several of Swan Hill’s parks have excellent play areas as well as Barbeque facilities with covered seating areas. 25 kilometres north of the Swan Hill CBD lay the Nyah State Forest and Vinifera River Reserve, a river red gum and black box forest area, with a variety of camping and picnic areas, fishing spots and bird watching opportunities with the forest being home to several species of birds including the threatened Regent Parrot. Swan Hill is also the gateway to several National Parks within Victoria and New South Wales, for further information about parks contact the Swan Hill Region Information Centre, Cnr McCrae and Curlewis Streets, Swan Hill. |
